Legoloha - Lego minifigs with Hawaiian shirts
Everything is awesome in the world of Lego minfigs (or so I hear), but are they wearing the most awesome kind of shirts?
There are a handful of minifigs, officially licensed and otherwise, that sport solid aloha-wear. In fact, as an artifact of minifig anatomy, these unassuming little yellow dudes have dedicated their entire upper bodies to aloha fashion! An admirable sacrifice.

Where are my Pants?
In 2014’s The Lego Movie, the protagonist Emmet busts a gut watching his favorite show “Where are my Pants?” The star of the show wears a Hawaiian shirt and, well, can’t find his pants.
It isn’t funny, Emmet. Some of us are so excited to put on our aloha shirts in the morning that we do it before locating pants!
“Where are my Pants? guy minifigs can be found in both original and Apocalypseburg variants, both wearing alohas.
Floral
If you assume it takes Apocalypseburg “Where are my Pants?” guy 50 years to find his pants, lose the Mad Max accessories, and unbutton his shirt, you arrive at the beachgoer minifig.
The same torso is used on minifigs in a few other sets, too. It’s interesting to see the kinds of societal roles that Lego deems appropriate for someone wearing an aloha shirt. Beachcomber, super creepy tourist, guy eating a croissant, guy who is awful at barbequeing. Ok, I guess those are pretty accurate.
Palm trees and sunset
Lego also seems to think aloha shirts are for dads. Their last generic aloha torso, featuring a sunset and palm trees, is found on two “dad” minifigs and a “plane passenger” minifig.
Batman
Lego released special collectible minifigs in 2017 along with The Lego Batman Movie, including some bat-tastic figs wearing aloha-ish camp shirts. You can get your hands on vacation Batman, vacation Robin, and vacation Joker minifigs.
Fun bit of trivia - vacation Joker’s Hawaiian shirt, light blue with a horizontal band of palm trees across the chest, is an homage to the 1988 graphic novel Batman: The Killing Joke, in which Joker wears a similar shirt.
Unofficial minifigs
Fans have put together a few unsanctioned aloha minifigs, as well.
Red Hawaiian shirt minifig - I like to call this one the “Adam Levine minifig.”
